June Favorites

Okay there are lots of beauty loves this month - all of them definite investments, but all of them worth every penny! Oh, and more black clothes - I am who I am. Before I get rolling, everything is linked in one spot here!

If you are scrolling through the Sephora app anytime soon, the following are some considerations for your cart.

Replica fragrances. They are my go-to perfumes. The Replica branding really gets me as they base their fragrances on specific time periods and places. The two summer bottles I am loving right now are Beach Walk and Under the Lemon Trees. The absolute all-time favorite in the Golz household (as these are all unisex scents) is By the Fireplace - which is much more of a fall/winter scent. If you have been considering a bottle of their goodness I definitely encourage you to take the plunge.

A few months back I needed a change in my hair and still refuse to chop, so we added some light and I am now officially a BRONDE. Mostly brunette with a splash of blonde. I have gotten highlights in the past, but they have always turned brassy on me and start to look more “meh” than “fresh.” My blonde has stayed toned and bright by washing once a week with my dear Amika “Bust Your Brass” shampoo and conditioner. I use this purple punch every other time I wash and let both sit for a bit in my hair. Magic for the blonde.

With a 1 year old running around and truly such little time to do my makeup, I have been looking for quick solutions when it comes to my face. A lighter makeup look is definitely “in” these days as well. My favorite go-to for the eyes has been my Danessa Myricks Colorfix tubes. These washes of color are pure perfection. I can throw some bronzer in the crease and pop one of these on the lid and we are donezo. They don’t crease and stay all day long. Her color selection and finishes are chef’s kiss. So much that they are usually sold out on Sephora’s website. You can always check Danessa’s site too!

Ya girl has a round face and for years I struggled to find sunglasses that fit my cheeks and face shape. Enter Quay Australia. The oversized fit of these sunnies not only makes me feel super cool, but actually work with my face shape - win/win. My go-to styles are the High Key and the Jezabell. They often have BOGO sales so you can totally pick up multiple pairs for a deal.

I won’t blab on and on about my fashion loves for the summer, but just know these three pieces are cool, comfortable, and throw a little style your way. Whether you are chasing a toddler, lounging on the couch, or hopping on a plane to someplace tropical - these staples have you covered. I have been living in my Aerie jumpsuit, H&M sleeveless tees, and my Athleta crop.

As Emmett has gotten older we are not lugging quite as many things with us when we leave the house, but a straw water bottle is a must with this boy. Straws are his jam. We have tried many different toddler cups and straw combos - but our favorite BY FAR has been his Simple Modern water bottle. They sell them at Target, Amazon, and on their site. The patterns make mom happy as they are adorable and a graphic dream and little buddy is happy with his spill-proof ice-cold H20.

Finally, we have our new nail polish storage bin. I have been also so kindly informed that it is also a great spot to store toy cars, lego people, and other small toys - who knew!? I suddenly see into my boy mom future over here. Slim, compact, and clear plastic make for the perfect double-sided storage of all my favorite manicure colors.

A quick roundup of what I have been lovely lately! I hope you summer has been absolutely fab!
